Yachting Malta’s first stand at the Dubai International Boat Show drew substantial interest and heavy foot traffic on opening day, as it joined the Superyacht Industry Network Malta and Visit Malta to showcase the islands in the region’s leading leisure marine event, held this year at Dubai Harbour from 1st to 5th March.
The debut followed a successful trade mission to the show last year, soon after travel restrictions were lifted. Malta was presented not only as a yacht cruising destination but also for refits, flag registrations, wintering, hardstanding, crew training and other services, while Visit Malta promoted sailing, diving, heritage and culinary experiences for UAE and GCC residents. Before the show, Yachting Malta attended the Middle East Yachting Conference at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah.
“The Dubai International Boat Show provides unparalleled access to some of the key stakeholders of the maritime and yachting industry. This is an excellent opportunity for Yachting Malta to extend its network and bring Malta to the forefront,” said CEO Michael Mifsud.
