Yachting Malta marked its tenth anniversary in 2025. Founded as a public–private partnership between the Government and the Royal Malta Yacht Club, it has grown from promoting local events with international participation into a strategic partner for industry, government and international stakeholders, working with the Malta Ship Registry, Transport Malta, the Malta Tourism Authority and the Superyacht Industry Network Malta.
“Over the past decade, Yachting Malta has worked tirelessly to amplify Malta’s maritime identity. We have consolidated our role in the Mediterranean yachting space while building partnerships that are now shaping sustainability, inclusion and professional standards across the sector,” said Chairman Hon. Chris Agius.
The year took Yachting Malta to Boot Düsseldorf, the Palma International Boat Show, the Cannes Yachting Festival and, for a third year, the Dubai International Boat Show. At home, the second Malta Boat Show at Dock 1, Cottonera, brought together 79 brands, 47 of them exhibiting in Malta for the first time, and 176 boats, with visitors from 28 countries, a new Media Centre and coverage in the international trade press.
Sustainability remained a focus, through the Sustainability Guidelines and the Power4Med marina training that brought local marina staff together to plan greener operations.
