Mark Herrera and Josann Attard Pulis ended the 2025 Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, as they have so often this year: first across the line. They won the 10km race at the Valletta Edition on 8th December, the last race of the series’ tenth anniversary season.
The Valletta course is known for its steep climbs and, usually, its December weather. This year runners were treated to ideal conditions, with sunshine at both the start and the finish.
Herrera took an early lead and held a steady pace throughout, staying strong on the climbs to keep his challengers at bay. Behind him the battle for second went down to the wire: Jeremy Curmi finished just one second ahead of Brahim El Khattabi.
Attard Pulis delivered another strong performance in the women’s race, ahead of Jolene Debattista and Brigitte Calascione.
Brandon Saliba won the 5km race, with Emanuel Zammit and Conway Cachia completing a closely matched podium. Rosalie Borg Cauchi won the women’s 5km by 19 seconds from Cypriot runner Chrystalla Hadjipolydorou, with Charyl Fava third.
Race Founder and Director Charlie Demanuele said he was pleased with the success of the 10th anniversary season and thanked the athletes for their continued support. He noted that the mix of scenic routes and demanding courses continues to attract runners of all levels. The organisers also thanked Hudson, Power Pulse, the Floriana and Valletta Local Councils and Transport Malta.
The 2026 Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, begins on 1st February with the Three Cities Edition.
