The Royal Malta Yacht Club has received the Award for Putting Malta on the International Sporting Map at SportMalta’s Celebrating Sport in Malta Awards, in recognition of its role as organiser of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
Commodore Mark Napier accepted the award from SportMalta Chairman Matthew Pisani on behalf of the Club. The recognition reflects the collective effort behind one of Malta’s most significant international sporting events, from the organising team and race officials to the volunteers, partners and sailors.
The Club thanked SportMalta for its continued support in strengthening Malta’s sporting profile at home and abroad, and for recognising the role that sailing, and the Rolex Middle Sea Race in particular, plays in showing Malta’s ability to deliver world-class sporting events.
