The Maltese Olympic Committee presented 173 awards at its 21st Gala Sports Awards, honouring athletes and teams for their international results across the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 seasons, from the Games of the Small States of Europe and the Commonwealth Youth Games to World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Three figures were inducted into the MOC Hall of Fame: sports historian and journalist Charles Camenzuli, Olympian Jean-Paul Fleri Soler, one of the forces behind the growth of sailing in Malta, and the late Patrick Pace, a pioneer of baseball on the island.
“This evening celebrates the dedication, resilience, and ambition of Malta’s athletes. Each award represents countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering determination,” said Maria Vella-Galea, who chaired the Organising Committee.
