The Rolex Middle Sea Race edition of The Spirit of Yachting was released on 27th November, capturing the hallmarks of this offshore classic.
The 2025 race saw 110 of the 117 starters complete the course, a testament to the skill, endurance and determination of the fleet as they navigated the demanding geography and ever-changing weather of the Mediterranean.
The Maxi 72 Balthasar delivered a standout performance, bouncing back from a forced retirement at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup just six weeks earlier. Skipper Louis Balcaen and his crew secured the overall victory through bold, tactical sailing that ultimately paid off.
Rolex has partnered with the race and its organiser, the Royal Malta Yacht Club, since 1968, part of the brand’s commitment to sailing that goes back almost 70 years.
