Yachting Malta returned to the Dubai International Boat Show for a second year with a larger stand, a bigger crew and a programme of high-level meetings, working with Malta Enterprise, the Malta Tourism Authority and Malta’s Embassy in the UAE.
The stand hosted partners from across Malta’s yachting sector: refit yards, corporate service providers, boat builders, surveyors, charterers, boat and yacht agents, chandlers and seafarer training institutions. The delegation visited the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to meet its President and CEO, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, and in Abu Dhabi met the Department of Culture and Tourism and its Director General, H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry. It was also hosted by H.E. Maria Camilleri Calleja, Malta’s Ambassador to the UAE. Visitors to the stand included H.E. Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council.
“As Yachting Malta continues to champion excellence in yachting and maritime services, our participation at the Dubai International Boat Show signifies a further important step in our efforts to make our presence increasingly felt amongst stakeholders in the global yachting industry,” said CEO Michael Mifsud.
