Mark Herrera and Jemima Farley took the 10km honours as around 300 runners opened the 2025 Hudson Race Series with a sell-out race along the Three Cities waterfront, in crisp but sunny January weather.
Farley stayed on Herrera’s heels for much of the race until he pushed clear on the second loop. Farley was second across the line and won the women’s race, ahead of Josann Attard Pulis and Ritianne Zammit. Daniel Portelli and Gianni Ciappara completed the men’s podium.
Alessandro Vizzini won a close 5km by two seconds from Kersten James, with Miguel Cassar third, while Charyl Fava comfortably won the women’s 5km ahead of Nadia Mifsud and Lorna Mifsud.
“This race truly highlights the charm of the Three Cities, blending history with sport in such a unique way,” said Race Director Charlie Demanuele. “We’re delighted with the incredible turnout and thrilled to kick off the Hudson Race Series on such a high note, especially as this year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the very first race in the series.” Among the runners was veteran Godwin Tonna, who has taken part in every edition since 2015. The series continues in Maqluba on 6th April.
