Yachting Malta and Visit Malta facilitated the signing of a reciprocal agreement between the Royal Malta Yacht Club and the Yacht Club de Cannes, giving members of both clubs access to each other’s facilities, events and regattas, and exclusive member benefits.
The Cannes delegation was led by club President Jean Francois Cutugno, with Bruno Ricciardi, organiser of Les Régates Royales de Cannes, and Pascal Perez, Honorary Consul of Malta in Nice. Birżebbuġa Sailing Club Commodore Mario Aquilina and committee member Alfred Fenech also showed them round the BSC premises, where they watched the club’s Spring Regatta.
“This visit represents just a glimpse, albeit a crucial one, of our ongoing endeavours to showcase Malta’s beauty and potential to our international counterparts,” said Yachting Malta CEO Michael Mifsud.
