Hon. Chris Agius MP has been appointed Chairman of Yachting Malta, the fourth chairman of the public–private partnership set up with the Royal Malta Yacht Club in 2015. He succeeds Jonathan Borg, and the appointment was presented by Hon. Aaron Farrugia, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects.
A politician of many years’ experience, Agius was Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport when Yachting Malta was founded, and has held various key positions in government shaping policies for the well-being of the Maltese population and economic growth.
