The Malta 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games will open on Friday 29th October 2027, followed by six days of sport from 30th October to 4th November, across seven venues in Malta and Gozo. About 1,200 athletes aged 14 to 18 are expected.
Swimming and para swimming will be held at the Tal-Qroqq National Pool, water polo at the Cottonera Indoor Pool, and athletics and para athletics at the Marsa Athletics Stadium, with squash and weightlifting at the Marsa Sports Centre. Sailing moves to Mellieħa Bay, triathlon to Marsalforn Bay, and netball to the new Gozo Indoor Sports Pavilion.
“Hosting the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2027 is not only an opportunity to showcase Malta on the global stage, but also a powerful platform to inspire the next generation of Maltese athletes,” said Julian Pace Bonello, President of Commonwealth Sport Malta.
